THE PIECE

"I was interested in codes, in thought patterns, in the rhythms of the ʺembroidered” signs, the gestures practiced by the embroiderer, the movements of hands, and the lines that emerge on the reverse side of the fabric showing how the threads have been worked together... I let myself be guided by these gestures and lines while introducing new variables... The perforation on a white parchment emphasizes the idea of erasure and disappearance, while making visible what is essential, thus highlighting the fading memory of heritage".
